A tremendous amount of paper and cardboard is wasted every day in the course of moves. This creates a drain on natural resources and a burden for our landfills.
Packing peanuts and bubble wrap are often made of polyethylene. Diamonds are not the only things that are forever. Polyethylene products too seem to last forever.
At Eldredge and Bourne we are making a sincere effort to minimize our negative impact on the environment.

All of our boxes and wrapping paper are made from recycled materials.
The peanuts and bubblewrap we use are biodegradable.*

Used packing material from on Cape local moves will be picked up at no charge and either reused or sent to be recycled.**

Our BIG BLACK BOX program can eliminate or greatly reduce the need for cardboard boxes.
* Contact the “Peanut Hotline, 800.828.8814 for information on local businesses that will recycle non-biodegradable peanuts you have. Eldredge and Bourne will gladly pick up any packing materials provided by us.
**Eldredge and Bourne will schedule one pick-up date. All boxes must be flattened. All wrapping paper flattened and tied in a role.
